Sunway Medical Centre is a leading private healthcare provider in Malaysia that offers advanced medical services across specialties like cardiology, oncology, and orthopedics. Part of the Sunway Group, it serves both local and international patients with cutting-edge facilities.

To enhance accessibility, SunMed has branch offices in Kuching and Kota Kinabalu, providing East Malaysia residents with direct access to expert consultations and services.

As Sunway Medical Centre (SunMed) expanded to East Malaysia, they partnered with SOL Digital to run digital marketing campaigns to make it easier for people in Sabah and Sarawak to inquire and book health services through Sunway Medical East Malaysia.

As a result, it reached over 1.2 million people on Facebook and Instagram within a year and received more than 1,000 inquiries through the WhatsApp campaign. This resulted in 26 confirmed bookings at Sunway Medical Hospital Kuala Lumpur, further strengthening Sunway Medical’s presence in East Malaysia.

Expanding into a new market is not easy, and Sunway Medical faced this in East Malaysia. Despite being a leading healthcare provider in West Malaysia, they still lack awareness in Sabah and Sarawak due to limited localised marketing efforts.

Besides, health screenings and laser eye treatments seemed less convenient and more costly due to travel and accommodation expenses, especially with local providers in East Malaysia offering more affordable options.

To bridge this gap, we focus on conversion-driven ads for key services like Oncology PET CT Scans and second opinion consultations, building trust and urgency to position Sunway Medical Centre as a trusted choice in East Malaysia.

We also created educational content on health screenings, cancer care, and eye treatments, breaking down the benefits of early detection and advanced treatments in a clear, relatable way to make specialised care feel more accessible.

Carousels, video testimonials, and infographics were used to capture interest and highlight real patient stories. By optimising these creatives, engagement increased, and more leads were generated.
